Batik being an unique form of art, came from Southeast Asia countries or norm origin of Indonesia. The word Batik means 'a cloth with little dots - Tik also mean little dot or point to make dots. Dotted or dropped wax is used to separate dyes to create a desirable pattern on cloth. It is an ancient Indonesian art of painting on fabric using wax and special dye. Most people find it similar to tie dye techniques.
We were very grateful for this opportunity to demonstrate this traditional art form to many employees of both corporations. Here are some of the pictures from the workshop:
Proposed design mimicking the outline of Miron Construction's building. Painting style for workshop referenced to Vincent Van Gogh's prominent painting - The New York Skyline |
Painting at it's 3rd dye cycle before completion. Will post the final framed painting's picture in a later post :) |
We sincerely thank everyone who participated in the workshop, and has join hands in creating this wonderful painting - A Miron Skyline.
